 Bend Waves Water Polo Club (BWWPC)

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

The BWWPC has established a standard of behavior for all registered athletes of the club and clinic. Each member must understand that during participation in club practices, clinics, events and tournaments, they are representing their club, clinic and community.  Please read the Code of Conduct below. Your signature below constitutes your acknowledgment that you have read and will abide by the Code of Conduct while participating with the team.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants of the BEND WAVES WATER POLO CLUB:

There will be no unacceptable behavior, including but not limited to:

Committing any act that would be considered an offense under Federal, State or local law or rules

Unsportsmanlike conduct toward fellow players, coaches, officials and other members of the team.

Possession or use of any illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco of any form

Engaging in bullying or sexual harassment of any kind.

Each athlete is expected to:

•Conduct him/her selves in a responsible and respectful manner.

•Encourage his/her teammates at all times.

•Respect the policies and property of hosting pools and other facilities being used.

•Respect the property of others whether public or private.

•Exhibit outstanding sportsmanship towards all players.

•Abide by BWWPC’s  substance abuse policy.

•Acknowledge that a breach of or failure to abide by the terms of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including removal from the team  by the Head Coach or Board of Directors.

 

 BWWPC position on substance abuse

 BWWPC will not tolerate the consumption or possession of alcohol, drug paraphernalia, illegal substances, or use of tobacco products.  An illegal substance shall also include prescription being used or taken in a manner inconsistent with the medication’s labeling. 

Consequences of Drug or Alcohol use: 

•             If an athlete is caught using drugs or alcohol or any other illegal substance.  The athlete is to be suspended from the camp, a legal guardian will be contact immediately and arrangements will be made to have the camper sent home as soon as possible.

Confidentiality

The  BWWPC will use every effort consistent with the circumstances to keep drug and alcohol disciplinary procedures confidential.

By checking the boxes within the registration process, the athlete and parent or legal guardian, signifies understanding of the Code of Conduct and agrees to abide by all requirements.

Registration Information

 USA Water Polo memberships are required for players to complete the registration process. For more info and to obtain your membership look for the links to memberships above in the menu bar. Be sure to upload a photo for your USAWP membership card. These cards will be used as your identification and will be checked at USA Water Polo sanctioned tournaments.

For new members to sign up for BWWPC programs click the REGISTER button in the upper right hand corner of the page.

A parent or legal guardian will need to complete the registration process twice. Once for a Parent profile and once more for a Player profile. When the process is complete you will be approved and receive an email from the Club and be able to access your account to complete the payment process.

During Step 2 of the Parent Profile registration under the heading GROUP be sure to select which program your player will be participating in.
